Damiani Wine Cellars is delighted to present an entirely plant-based wine dinner featuring the culinary talents of Regan Allen and John Readling of Johnny's Kitchen (Lodi NY) paired with Damiani wines.  We are excited to demonstrate that excellent wine dinners are not limited to meat-based diets.

2014 Blanc De Noir
Radish crudité, Cauliflower mousse, thyme

* fresh, crisp, herby, a little spice from the radish *

1st Course

2023 Little Lotus Flower
“Dolma-ani” Collard greens, basmati rice, salsa verde, nori

* oceany, briny, sharp *

2nd Course

2023 Dry Riesling
Spicy coconut curry, Cauliflower, almonds, cilantro 

* spiced, spicy, floral, sweet, richness from coconut milk and almonds *

3rd Course

2023 Pinot Noir
Charred cabbage, Green onion, chestnuts, sesame, lime

* charry, smoky, nutty, a bit umami *

4th Course

2023 Cabernet Sauvignon
Mushroom risotto, Roasted garlic, cashew, black truffle

* umami bomb, a little funky, fatty, earthy, decadent *

5th Course

2018 Blanc de Blanc
Caramel tart, Date, coconut, aquafaba

* sweet, salty, buttery, flaky, fatty, a bit tart *

 

This dinner is taking place in our working production barn.  Dressing in warm layers is recommended.
